Q: Who can practice Underwater Meditation? Do I need to be able to swim or be a certified scuba diver to be able to do it?
A: Underwater Meditation is open to anyone who’d like to get a deeper and more relaxed state of mind, and reduce or even eliminate the levels of stress and anxiety of today’s lifestyle, independent of age, sex, race, etc. You do not need to know how to swim or be a certified scuba diver for the basic level of Underwater Meditation, since you will remain mostly still without moving at all; and it’s performed in a closed and protected environment (generally a swimming pool). To obtain the advanced level of Underwater Meditation, and basically for safety reasons, you do need to be a certified scuba diver since you will be in a natural environment.

Q: How often can I do it? Will I increase its benefits with regular practice?
A: You can practice Underwater Meditation as often as you'd like as is the case with its ‘dry land cousin’. In fact, it is through regular and habitual practice that you will best be able to enjoy and get the full extent of its benefits.

Q: How can I know it is working for me?
A: Believe me, you will know! It will mostly depend on the degree of willingness and/or openness you might have to ‘make it work’ for you, whatever this term means in your case. We all have different levels of resistance to incorporating new things into our lives, but if you just allow it, you will be amazed with the new sense of awareness and clarity you will achieve through regular practice. The only limit on how far you can go with the experience is up to you, whether you make this choice consciously or otherwise.

Q: I've already found and am living my true purpose, but I'd like to try underwater meditation anyway, as a new way to relax and keep my state of mind while trying something new and exciting at the same time. Can I use Underwater Meditation with a purpose other than the one you mentioned?
A:
Absolutely! You can use and practice Underwater Meditation in the same way and manner you would use traditional meditation.

Q: I've been a certified diver scuba diver for most of my life with thousands of dives and I have never experienced any major realization or spiritual breakthrough of any kind. What makes this experience you are proposing any different?
A: I've also been a professional diver for half of my life and nothing like this happened to me until very recently. Chances are you never believed this was even a possibility. Perhaps at some level you just weren't ready for the experience. Now you are asking. This asking changes everything. There is a time and a moment for everything and everybody. Probably something happened within you to trigger your asking this type of question now. Perhaps now you are ready for such an experience. It is totally up to you to find answers to these questions.

Q: Which are the main differences between the 'Basic' and the 'Advanced' level of Underwater Meditation?
A: The main difference is that the first is performed in a protected and closed environment, a swimming pool, while the second it’s done in the ocean. Because of the inherent risks in open water, we do require that you get an Open Water diving certification (from any recognized diving agency) to minimize any risk that may arise when you are without the protection of the swimming pool’s four walls. Besides this fact, the other thing that changes is the emotional state that develops precisely because of being in open water. You will experience a deeper contact with nature and it will be far easier for you to recognize yourself as another ‘version’ of nature as well. This will also increase your sensitivity for a different kind of experience that you could never get to grasp in totality in a swimming pool.

Q: In the 'Advanced' level, how deep we would be? Are there any risks with marine life? Who will watch over me while I meditate?
A: The depth to which Underwater Meditation is performed in the ‘Advanced’ level does not exceed the twenty feet mark. The risks involved are less than with a normal scuba diving day, since it will be done at a minimal depth and you will be barely moving, if moving at all. You will have a whole set of professional divers and dive masters watching over your shoulders while you are meditating to ensure a pleasant, rewarding and safe experience.

Q: Since I'm going to be breathing compressed air while underwater, are there any types of medical requirements that I need to pass?
A: Although a medical approval is not required to practice Underwater Meditation, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get one if you have any special medical conditions. The rule is very simple, even with the fact that you will mostly be sitting in the bottom of a swimming pool: you need to be in a good health.

Q: Do I need to buy any special equipment of my own?
A: You won’t need to buy any special equipment. All equipment you will need is provided.

Q:What is the easiest way to make a reservation?
A: You can fill out the form available on the home page with your information and you will be notified by email of the next available dates for an introductory class.

Q: Can I go to watch a session to see if it is something I might be interested in doing?
A: Yes, you definitly can. Just send us an email to find out when our next session will be and come over. Whether you want to take the active side and participate or just observe, you will always be welcome.

Q: Where it is exactly that I have to go to make a reservation to participate or just to observe?
A: We are currently using the instalations of the 'Dive Stop' dive shop located in 16604 NE 2 Avenue, North Miami, FL 33162

Q: If later on I realized I'd like to move forward to the 'Advance' level on Underwater Meditation to be able to go practice it in a natural environment, can I become a certified scuba diver also through you?
A: Yes, we can also help you to get certify as a scuba diver, depending on your interests and/or needs.

Q: Can you be hired? I have my swimming pool in my own home, and I would like to be personally guided to make sure I follow the right and necessary steps to get the most benefit out of my Underwater Meditation practice, but I lived in the opposite side of the country, would you come anyway?
A: It can be arranged accordingly. You can contact us directly by email and we can schedule a private consultation in regard with you personal needs and desires.
